Dhikr-e-Dawam (Perpetual Remembrance of Allah) |

And when your Lord said to the angels, I am going to place in the earth a khalif, they said: What! wilt Thou place in it such as shall make mischief in it and shed blood, and we celebrate Thy praise and extol Thy holiness? He said: Surely I know what you do not know (2:30)
And who is more unjust than he who prevents (men) from the masjids of Allah, that His name should be remembered in them, and strives to ruin them? (As for) these, it was not proper for them that they should have entered them except in fear; they shall meet with disgrace in this world, and they shall have great chastisement in the hereafter (2:114)
Therefore remember Me, I will remember you, and be thankful to Me, and do not be ungrateful to Me (2:152)
It is no sin for you that you seek the bounty of your Lord. But when you pour forth from Arafat, remember ALLAH at Mash'ar al-Haraam, and remember HIM as HE has guided you; although before this you were of those gone astray (2:198)
And when ye have completed your devotions, then remember Allah as ye remember your fathers or with a more lively remembrance. But of mankind is he who saith: "Our Lord! Give unto us in the world," and he hath no portion in the Hereafter (2:200)
Remember Allah through the appointed days. Then whoso hasteneth (his departure) by two days, it is no sin for him, and whoso delayeth, it is no sin for him; that is for him who wardeth off (evil). Be careful of your duty to Allah, and know that unto Him ye will be gathered (2:203)
And if ye go in fear, then (pray) standing or on horseback. And when ye are again in safety, remember Allah, as He hath taught you that which (heretofore) ye knew not (2:239)
He said: My Lord! appoint a sign for me. Said He: Your sign is that you should not speak to men for three days except by signs; and remember your Lord much and glorify Him in the evening and the morning (3:41)
And those who, when they do an evil thing or wrong themselves, remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins - Who forgiveth sins save Allah only ? - and will not knowingly repeat (the wrong) they did (3:135)
Those who remember Allah standing and sitting and lying on their sides and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth: Our Lord! Thou hast not created this in vain! Glory be to Thee; save us then from the chastisement of the fire (3:191)
And when you have finished the Prayer, remember ALLAH, standing and sitting, and laying on your sides. And when you are secure from danger, then observe Prayer in the prescribe form; verily Prayer is enjoined on the believers to be performed at fixed hours (4:103)
Surely the hypocrites strive to deceive Allah, and He shall requite their deceit to them, and when they stand up to prayer they stand up sluggishly; they do it only to be seen of men and do not remember Allah save a little (4:142)
Satan seeketh only to cast among you enmity and hatred by means of strong drink and games of chance, and to turn you from remembrance of Allah and from (His) worship. Will ye then have done ? (5:91)
(O mankind!) Call upon your Lord humbly and in secret. Lo! He loveth not aggressors (7:55)
And Allah's are the best names, therefore call on Him thereby, and leave alone those who violate the sanctity of His names; they shall be recompensed for what they did (7:180)
And do thou (O Muhammad) remember thy Lord within thyself humbly and with awe, below thy breath, at morn and evening. And be not thou of the neglectful (7:205)
Those only are believers whose hearts become full of fear when Allah is mentioned, and when His communications are recited to them they increase them in faith, and in their Lord do they trust (8:2)
O you who believe! when you meet a party, then be firm, and remember Allah much, that you may be successful (8:45)
'Those who believe, and whose hearts find comfort in the remembrance of ALLAH. Aye ! It is the remembrance of ALLAH that hearts can find comfort (13:28)
The seven heavens and the earth and all that is therein praise Him, and there is not a thing but hymneth His praise; but ye understand not their praise. Lo! He is ever Clement, Forgiving (17:44)
Unless Allah pleases; and remember your Lord when you forget and say: Maybe my Lord will guide me to a nearer course to the right than this (18:24)
'Verily , I am ALLAH; there is no god but I, so worship ME alone and observe Prayer for my remembrance (20:14)
Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me (20:42)
'But whosoever will turn away from MY remembrance, his will be a straitened life, and on the Day of Resurrection WE shall raise him up blind.' (20:124)
Bear then patiently what they say, and glorify your Lord by the praising of Him before the rising of the sun and before its setting, and during hours of the night do also glorify (Him) and during parts of the day, that you may be well pleased (20:130)
They glorify (Him) night and day; they flag not (21:20)
Say, 'Who can protect you by night and by day from the Gracious God ?' Yet they turn away from the remembrance of their Lord (21:42)
(To) those whose hearts tremble when Allah is mentioned, and those who are patient under that which afflicts them, and those who keep up prayer, and spend (benevolently) out of what We have given them (22:35)
Those who have been driven out from their homes unjustly, only because they said, 'Our Lord is ALLAH.' And if ALLAH had not repelled some people by means of others, cloisters and churches and synagogues and mosques, wherein the name of ALLAH is oft remembered, would surely have been destroyed. And ALLAH will, surely, help him who helps HIM. ALLAH is, indeed, Powerful, Mighty - (22:40)
Men whom neither merchandise nor sale beguileth from remembrance of Allah and constancy in prayer and paying to the poor their due; who fear a day when hearts and eyeballs will be overturned (24:37)
Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! (26:227)
Recite that which has been revealed to you of the Book and keep up prayer; surely prayer keeps (one) away from indecency and evil, and certainly the remembrance of Allah is the greatest, and Allah knows what you do (29:45)
Only those really believe in Our Signs who, when they are reminded of them, fall down prostrate and celebrate the praises of their Lord, and they are not proud (32:15)
Verily, you have in the Prophet of ALLAH an excellent model, for him who hopes to meet ALLAH and the Last Day and who remembers ALLAH much (33:21)
Lo! men who surrender unto Allah, and women who surrender, and men who believe and women who believe, and men who obey and women who obey, and men who speak the truth and women who speak the truth, and men who persevere (in righteousness) and women who persevere, and men who are humble and women who are humble, and men who give alms and women who give alms, and men who fast and women who fast, and men who guard their modesty and women who guard (their modesty), and men who remember Allah much and women who remember - Allah hath prepared for them forgiveness and a vast reward (33:35)
O ye who believe ! remember ALLAH much; And glorify HIM morning and evening (33:41-42)
And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah), He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised (37:143-144)
Lo! We subdued the hills to hymn the praises (of their Lord) with him at nightfall and sunrise (38:18)
And he said: Lo! I have preferred the good things (of the world) to the remembrance of my Lord; till they were taken out of sight behind the curtain. (Then he said): Bring them back to me, and fell to slashing (with his sword their) legs and necks (38:32-33)
What! is he whose heart Allah has opened for Islam so that he is in a light from his Lord (like the hard-hearted)? Nay, woe to those whose hearts are hard against the remembrance of Allah; those are in clear error (39:22)
Allah has revealed the best announcement, a book conformable in its various parts, repeating, whereat do shudder the skins of those who fear their Lord, then their skins and their hearts become pliant to the remembrance of Allah; this is Allah's guidance, He guides with it whom He pleases; and (as for) him whom Allah makes err, there is no guide for him (39:23)
And when Allah alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the hereafter shrink, and when those besides Him are mentioned, lo! they are joyful (39:45)
And he who turns away from the remembrance of the Gracious God, WE appoint for him a satan, who becomes his intimate companion (43:36)
So bear with patience what they say, and celebrate the praises of thy Lord, before the rising of the sun and before its setting (50:39)
Then withdraw (O Muhammad) from him who fleeth from Our remembrance and desireth but the life of the world (53:29)
Therefore (O Muhammad), praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous (56:74)
So glorify the name of thy Lord, the Incomparably Great (56:96)
Whatever is in the heavens and the earth glorifies ALLAH; and HE is the Mighty, the Wise (57:1)
Has not the time yet arrived for those who believe that their hearts should feel humbled at the remembrance of ALLAH and at the truth which has come down to them, and that they should not become like those who were given the Book before them, but because the period of the bestowal of ALLAH's grace upon them was prolonged for them, their hearts became hardened, and many of them became rebellious? (57:16)
Satan has gained mastery over them, and has made them forget the remembrance of ALLAH. They are Satan's party. Now, surely, it is Satan's party that are the losers (58:19)
All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. (59:1)
He is Allah, the Creator, the Shaper out of naught, the Fashioner. His are the most beautiful names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifieth Him, and He is the Mighty, the Wise (59:24)
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth declares the glory of Allah; and He is the Mighty, the Wise (61:1)
All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah, the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One, the Mighty, the Wise (62:1)
O you who believe! when the call is made for prayer on Friday, then hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave off trading; that is better for you, if you know (62:9)
And when the prayer is ended, then disperse in the land and seek of Allah's bounty, and remember Allah much, that ye may be successful (62:10)
O you who believe! let not your wealth, or your children, divert you from the remembrance of Allah; and whoever does that, these are the losers (63:9)
All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah; unto Him belongeth Sovereignty and unto Him belongeth praise, and He is Able to do all things (64:1)
Therefore-glorify the name of your Lord, the Great (69:52)
That We may test them thereby, and whoso turneth away from the remembrance of his Lord; He will thrust him into ever-growing torment (72:17)
So remember the name of thy Lord and devote thyself with a complete devotion (73:8)
Extol your Lord (74:3)
Remember the name of thy Lord at morn and evening. And worship Him (a portion) of the night. And glorify Him through the livelong night (76:25-26)
Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High (87:1)
Verily, he, indeed, will prosper who purifies himself, and remembers the name of his Lord and offer Prayers (87:14-15)
Then celebrate the praise of your Lord, and ask His forgiveness; surely He is oft-returning (to mercy) (110:3)
